WhistlePig Whiskey offers a wide range of whiskeys, from the classic straight rye whiskeys to innovative blends such as the "Boss Hog" and the "FarmStock". The distillery is also committed to sustainability and endeavours to use environmentally friendly methods in the production of its whiskeys.

About WhistlePig
From disreputable grain to whiskey insider tip: rye! You've probably heard of how Rye whiskey was once the leading American spirit, but fell out of favour with Prohibition. However, a dedicated group of rye enthusiasts set out to find the perfect whiskey in an unassuming place. They found a farm in Shoreham, Vermont (USA) with 500 hectares of arable land for growing rye and grain and restored the former dairy barn to turn it into a distillery. The former dairy barn offers the best conditions for bottling whiskey.
This crazy idea has developed into a major story. WhistlePig is the first whiskey with zero generations of family tradition. Visionary founder and master distiller Dave Pickerell created a space for experimental whiskey and then handed it over to the youngest, most restless and rebellious team in the industry. Because he knew: you will never stop fighting for rye, pushing the boundaries of American whiskey and making mistakes. Of course, there is much to learn from the past. Nevertheless, the makers of WhistlePig believe that the best days for rye whiskey are still ahead of us. WhistlePig is constantly trying new things to further unlock the potential of rye. They keep what makes it great, discard the rest and keep breaking new ground to make it even better.
After several years of experimentation, WhistlePig is committed to crafting the best and most interesting rye whiskey in the world. And their success proves them right. Since its founding in 2007, WhistlePig has become the number one distillery of exquisite premium rye whiskeys in North America. With the opening of our distillery in autumn 2015, we have become one of the few artisanal farmstead distilleries for rye whiskey in Vermont. The bold and very unusual bottlings are now also available in our shop.
So, try it for yourself and enjoy the unique flavour of the handcrafted WhistlePig Rye Whiskeys.
What makes WhistlePig Whiskey so special?
You should definitely try WhistlePig Rye Whiskey! The grain from which it is made is tricky, but the makers of WhistlePig have perfected it and can draw on a significant stock of exceptionally matured rye whiskeys. But age alone is not enough for them - they are obsessed with finishing, or post-maturing. To this end, they search the world for the most interesting casks and have even developed their own, whose oak comes directly from their own farm. The result is a whiskey with unrivalled complexity and depth. WhistlePig Rye Whiskey is made from almost 100 per cent rye, which gives it less sweetness but much more flavour. Try it and let the exceptional quality and unique flavour convince you!
Recommendations from the WhistlePig range:
In essence, there are three flagships from WhistlePig.
The WhistlePig 10 year old, WhistlePig 12 year old and WhistlePig 15 year old. The WhistlePig 10 year old is a well-balanced and easily accessible rye, refined with a hint of caramel and spices. The WhistlePig 12 year old is more complex and deeper, with a strong oak and a sweet fruity flavour. The WhistlePig 15 Year Old is an exquisite rye with a rich and complex profile characterised by dark chocolate, spice and vanilla. No matter which WhistlePig Rye you choose, you will enjoy a high-quality and handcrafted whiskey that is the result of years of work and dedication.
