The iconic peat nose from Big Peat has become a real synonym for Islay whisky. The name alludes to the English word for peat "peat" and makes it clear where the journey is heading. The strongly smoky blended malt is made from several single malt whiskies from the famous Scottish whisky island. The whisky from popular distilleries such as Bowmore, Ardbeg, Caol Ila and even Port Ellen ensure a full-bodied, smoky flavour. Big Peat dispenses with the addition of colouring and chill filtration, presenting you with a completely natural Islay whisky. Big Peat is part of the Remarkable Regional Malts from independent bottler Douglas Laing. Every Scottish whisky region has its own blended malt here. In Speyside, the cheeky Scallywag is up to mischief with delicious sherry casks. Timorous Beastie represents the Highlands, while the sweet and mild The Epicurean represents the Lowland region. The maritime Rock Oyster flies the flag for the Scottish islands and even Campbeltown has its own malt blend with The Gauldrons. Get your smoky Big Peat now, or discover the other Scotch whiskies from Douglas Laing's Remarkable Regional Malts.
