The bottlings of the Boutique-y Whiskey Company can be recognized immediately. The labels are just as elaborate as they are unusually designed in comic form. They are created by the Glasgow artist Emily Chappell. At first, she intensively researches the history of the distillery and bottling before she starts to draw. And so on the labels are also plenty of amusing allusions, background information and insider jokes. Whiskey infotainment, so to speak. But the content of the offered in cask strength Small Batch bottlings is worthy of all honor. Promised.
Which whiskey do they make?
The portfolio of the Boutique-y Whiskey Company is quite extensive. From here come single malts whiskeys as well as blended malts, blends, bourbons or single grain whiskeys. What they all have in common besides the eye-catching presentation: These are selected "small batch bottlings". So whiskeys in the smallest quantities - which can nevertheless come from several barrels. They are bottled undiluted, in Cask Strength. Incidentally, until recently, there was basically no age information on the bottles, because at That Boutique-y Whiskey Company, the opinion is that the factor "age" is overestimated and says nothing about the actual quality of the whiskey. Since April 2016, however, are now age information on the whiskeys. Out of respect for the wishes of the customers and in support of the "Scotch Whiskey Transparency" campaign of colleague John Glaser.

The Boutique-y Whiskey Company loves the unusual, not just visually. Thus, in addition to the big Scottish names, the portfolio also contains some very interesting rather exotic bottlings. For example, a 6-year-old single malt from the Indian John Paul distillery. A single malt whiskey from the Netherlands, by Zuidam Millstone. Or a smoky (!) 2-year old bourbon from FEW-Spirits.
