Ian MacLeod will again be presenting the limited edition of the popular smokehead in the sherry barrel-matured version in 2019.
A single malt whiskey that really deserves the name "Sherry Bomb", a heavy, intense and sherry-heavy drama that turns the skull red!
Aroma: a lot of peat, then becoming fruity with soft caramel aromas and soft oak - vanilla behind
Taste: full, heavy mouthfeel - oily, black smoke with an intense peat note - then sweet banana from the grill, thick sultanas and dried fruit
Finish: the peat comes back, now more clearly the Spanish sherry barrels and spicy oak - a slight salt note above everything
