PR: More than 1 gin! Pernod Ricard launches KI NO BI in Germany

KI NO BI - The gin with the Japanese heart

There are various elements that make KI NO BI so special. Produced in Japan's first gin distillery in Kyoto and awarded many prizes, the gin known as # no1gin is inspired by its origins and proud history.

To produce the ultra-premium gin, 11 botanicals are divided into six different segments: base (juniper, hinoki), citrus, tea, spices, fruity / floral and herbs. These are then macerated and individually distilled to accentuate and harmonize their aromas. When making the selection, great care is taken to ensure that the ingredients are expertly coordinated. The taste is perfected with iconic Japanese influences.

The ingredients are carefully selected and made by local producers. The Gyokuro tea comes from a tea garden in Uji, the ginger is grown on fields used exclusively for KI NO BI, the red shiso and the sansho are produced locally near Kyoto. For the special quality of the base, high-quality rice schnapps from the immediate area is used. For the Fushimi water, the team drives to a fountain in Tsuki No Katsura, one of the oldest sake breweries in Fushimi, south of Kyoto. The art of dazzling this exquisite gin is of paramount importance. KI NO BI is produced by the masters of gin production with great attention to detail, care and precision.

The beauty of the seasons

The design supports the exclusivity of this gin. The packaging designed according to the Karakami method is specially made for KI NO BI. These are selected and produced by Akihiko Toto, a 12th generation artisan. The idea of the "beauty of the seasons" also arose in his studio. The label design is based on an old traditional Edo pattern from the 17th century.

“Inspired by the traditions of the Japanese city of Kyoto, KI NO BI is more than a gin. We look forward to working with the passionate entrepreneurs behind the David Croll brand, Noriko Kakuda Croll and Marcin Miller, ”explains Tim Paech, Managing Director at Pernod Ricard Germany. “The gin boom in Germany continues and we believe in the sustainable growth of the gin segment.
