When you think of gin, you immediately think of Monkey 47 gin. This gin has become one of the most popular gins in recent years.
Originally, Monkey 47 was a small manufactory. Monkey 47 is now part of the Pernod Ricard Group and has become an integral part of the gin market.
Monkey 47 is available in three different versions:
Monkey 47 Schwarzwald Dry Gin
The Monkey 47 Schwarzwald Dry Gin is more of a classic. A total of 47 hand-picked botanical ingredients are used in this gin. These are blended with extremely soft spring water from the Black Forest, giving Monkey 47 its complexity and quality.
The use of cranberries from the Black Forest is particularly noteworthy. In addition, the finished gin is matured in traditional earthenware vessels to develop its unmistakable complexity.
Monkey 47 Black Forest Sloe Gin
Like the Monkey 47 Black Forest Dry Gin, the Sloe Gin contains 47 botanicals. As is usual with a sloe gin, the alcohol content of the gin is reduced compared to dry gin.
Monkey 47 Schwarzwald Barrel Cut
This is a very special gin. It was matured in handmade barrels made from the wood of the mulberry tree. These barrels were toasted a little beforehand, which results in a very special flavour and also makes the colour of this barrel cut gin stand out. This Monkey 47 Barrel Cut is only produced a few times a year.
