Miltonduff

Founded in 1824 in the Speyside.
As in Glenburgie (1958), two "Lomond stills" were installed here in 1964 (a variant of pot stills in which small malts can be produced by small technical modifications).
In these Lomond stills from 1964 to 1981 the malt was made with the name Mosstowie.
Even then, the malt rarely went on sale; it was and is exclusively bottled by Gordon & MacPhail, Duncan Taylor and Signatory.

Miltonduff is a malty middleweight and main ingredient in the blends of Ballantine's.
