There's no question about it: if one sector is particularly affected by the effects of the Corona crisis, it's the catering trade. The American Brown Forman group, which includes well-known whiskey brands such as Jack-Daniel's and Woodford Reserve, wants to help as a partner of the "BARBACK" initiative.
BARBACK's aim is to support people in Germany's bar gastronomy with a comprehensive range of services. The mission: "We bring the bar back to life." The initiative was launched by entrepreneur Stephan Hinz, supporters are companies in the beverage industry and also from other industries.
With its Jack Daniel's and Woodford Reserve whiskeys and the "Master of American Whiskey" training program, #MOAW, Brown-Forman Germany is now an official partner of this new, long-term aid project. (Speaking of #MOAW: The final planned for April in the USA has been postponed. The new “Master of American Whiskey” is expected to be selected in August.)
On the internet platform barback.de, interested beverage restaurateurs can find information about the project and the offers of help. This includes e.g. B. the possibility to apply for a temporary employment contract based on a mini-job. There are also extensive offers, further education programs and advice to use or to be inspired. Registration and use of the platform is free of charge.
In addition to BARBACK, Brown-Forman also supports the "Support your local bar" network. Further possibilities of engagement for the catering industry are currently being examined. How to say: sláinte!
