Enjoy the Swedish Mackmyra Distillery! Her “Mackmyra Intelligens AI: 01”, the first whiskey to be made using artificial intelligence, won gold in the renowned American Distilling Institute's Craft Spirits Awards competition and was awarded “Best of Category”.
The distillery in southern Sweden, which is only around 20 years old, has been characterized from the very beginning by its enthusiasm for innovation and the desire for something new. Her now awarded malt whiskey Mackmyra Intelligens is the result of the collaboration with the Finnish data analysis company Fourkind and the cloud computers from Microsoft.
With the help of artificial intelligence (AI), a whole series of new whiskey recipes were created from the analysis and linking of countless tasting notes, barrel types, customer ratings and algorithms.
These were implemented and evaluated by master blender Angela D’Orazio. The most successful creation became the Mackmyra Intelligens AI: 01 - the first single malt that combines traditional craftsmanship and artificial intelligence.
