What does Six Kingdoms stand for?
The history of the six kingdoms was shaped to a great extent by special people. The same applies to Mortlach, Dufftown’s first legal distillery, in which especially George and Alexander Cowie had a significant influence on the evolution of the whiskey. And so the production of Mortlach 15 Years Old is today as complex and unique as the figure of the three-eyed Raben, who interweaves the stories of the kingdoms with each other in the series due to his timeless wisdom: Distilled exactly 2.81 times, the Mortlach 15 Years matures Old first in sherry barrels and later in oak bourbon barrels for six months.
What can you expect from the Mortlach 15 year Six Kindoms?
Initially red apple with a woody-spicy note, followed by a hint of love apple and cranberry.
On the palate, fruity aromas meet a hint of cinnamon and wood, accompanied by vanilla, a little spiciness and dark chocolate.
The whiskey has an alcohol content of 46% vol.
