Portrait: What makes Edinburgh Gin - Tiramisu special
From Italy to its triumphant advance around the globe: Tiramisu is one of the most popular desserts. From just a handful of ingredients, the dessert creates a brilliant balance of creaminess, sweetness and delicate bitter notes. Edinburgh Gin is now adding a velvety special edition to the recipe for culinary world fame.
The Edinburgh Gin - Tiramisu serves gin in dessert form. Cocoa nibs, specialty coffee from Pact Coffee and the pulp of the carob tree add coffee and chocolate notes to the base of juniper and traditional botanicals. Vanilla, tonka beans and hazelnuts contribute to the creamy texture and complement the dry gin with sweetness.
The result is particularly good in afull-bodied gin & tonic or as a tiramisu martini cocktail.
Botanicals: including juniper, cocoa nibs, coffee beans, tonka beans, vanilla, hazelnuts, carob pulp
Anyone who has ever been there will have felt it: the magic of Edinburgh. It is in the contrasts - from the play of light on darkened, historic walls, to towering monuments made of stone and earth, from winding alleys and panoramic views, from pub and festival culture. Scotland's charming capital is as steeped in history as it is progressive. And so it is not only home, but also the soul of Edinburgh Gin.
Since 2010, Scotland's most successful gin brand has been capturing the magic of the city. In the shadow of Edinburgh Castle, Master Distiller David Wilkinson and his team hand in every step of the production process. A home-distilled grain liquor is used in the small-batch process to create an impressive range with imaginative, 100% natural Edinburgh flavors.
From classic London Dry to fruity flavoured variants to sumptuous gin liqueurs: The variety of cult products is based on a love of experimentation, a copper column called Caledonia and a copper pot still called Flora - as well as an abundance of typical and country-specific botanicals.
