Limited to only 564 bottles, it matured noble Islay Blended malt whisky predominantly in French Red Wine Casks.

The special Cask maturation ensures a pleasant fruitiness  with intense notes of ripe cherries and strong dark ones Chocolate - there is an intense peat smoke above everything.

Tasting Notes: This is how the Big Peat Red Wine Edition tastes like

• Nose: initially soft peat smoke, then increasingly intense becoming fruity aromas of dark cherries and berries, light malt aromas in the background, plus soft fudge and a hint of vanilla
• Palate: noticeably fruitier in taste - the ripe cherries again, too There are notes of dark chocolate and cocoa beans, followed by spicier tones, tobacco leaves can also be seen - there is a rich, soft peat smoke over everything
• Finish: long in the soft finish - fruits and peat in elegant balance - in the background spicy hints of old leather
