Whisky Tumbler
A whisky tumbler is a rather heavy glass with a thick bottom. The bottom of the tumbler causes the heat of the hand is not so quickly absorbed by whiskey. Tumblers are often used in conjunction with bourbon. In this case, the whiskey is classically served "on the rocks", i.e. with plenty of ice. Here, too, it is advisable to pay attention to the size of the ice cubes. Small ice cubes add a lot of water to the whiskey very quickly, whereas large ice cubes melt more slowly and thus do not water down the whiskey as quickly. So the tumbler is the choice for all whiskey fans who like to enjoy their favorite dram "On the Rocks". For the enjoyment of a single malt, the whiskey tumbler is not so suitable, because the flavors dissipate very quickly through the large opening of the glass. In this case, it is more advisable to use a nosing glass, as this has a smaller opening and the aromas can be held longer.
