What is going on at Ardbeg? Is the keyboard stuck somewhere, or how do these interesting article names come about?
After the strictly limited Ardbeg Blaaack, the next interesting product will appear on the market in the near future.
What is the background of this bottling?
This bottling will take place in honor of Mieckey Heads. Mickey Heads worked for a long time as a distillery manager at Ardbeg. Now he will stay until September 2020 and then go into well-deserved retirement.
In honor of Mickey Heads, there will probably be a new product. The alcohol content is 51.8% vol. The Ardbeg Arrrrrrrdbeg has matured in ex-ry barrels.
The tasting notes on the bottle label make you look forward to it. So here we are talking about smoked bananas and pears, which slowly change into the aromas of vanilla and rye scent. The mouthfeel of the Ardbeg Arrrrrrrdbeg is described as spicy and at the same time fruity. The aromas of anise, smoked toffee and a hint of sourdough biscuits are particularly noteworthy here. And, of course, what should never be missing from an Islay whiskey, especially Ardbeg, is a smoky finish.
We are looking forward to this very special whiskey. As soon as it is available we will inform you about it in our newsletter and blog.
