Mature predominantly in former Oloroso Sherry Casks, Ardnahoe Bholsa is a single malt whisky with particular depth and rich spice - a full-bodied single malt whisky with a traditional Islay style.
Ardnahoe Bholsa rewards every Islay fan with sweet and rich notes of ripe plums, oranges, and smoky raisins, soaked in Oloroso sherry. A spicy and pleasantly long smoky finish awaits. Bottled at Ardnahoe's preferred alcohol content of 50.0% vol. without artificial colors or chill filtration.

About Ardnahoe

With the Ardnahoe Distillery, the Laing family's long-held dream of producing their own single malt Scotch whisky on the magical island of Islay has come true. The Islay distillery combines the characteristic Islay characteristics of peat and smoke with a sweet fruitiness and intense depth of flavor. Ardnahoe distills exclusively using traditional methods: softly peated Islay water is drawn from the eponymous Loch Ardnahoe, while Ardnahoe is the only distillery on Islay to use two traditional worm tubs and two copper pot stills with exceptionally long lyne arms, which ensure extreme copper contact and lend the whisky additional depth and complexity. Tasting Notes: This is how the Ardnahoe Bholsa tastes like

• Nose: a fruity scent of red berries unfolds on the nose, accompanied by nutty walnuts and fresh orange peel. Behind this, a hint of campfire smoke from peat gives the bouquet a deeper, earthy note
• Palate: the palate is dominated by sweet raisins, dates, and ripe plums, lending a pleasant fruitiness. Above all, the characteristic Islay peat note adds depth and complexity to the taste
• Finish: the finish is long and spicy, with a distinctive peppery note that skilfully rounds off the taste experience and continues the smoky influence of the peat
