In a new Small Batch Edition, Signatory Vintage tames the popular “Beast of Dufftown” with a Sherry finish. The Mortlach Distillery is nicknamed this because of the often heavy, meaty characteristics of its Single Malts. The distillery works with six large, differently shaped pot stills and combines double and triple distilled spirits in the final raw spirit - thus distilling 2.81 times.
In the Mortlach 2014/2025, the powerhouse from Speyside meetsfirst-fill Pedro Ximénez Sherry Casks from Andalusia. At an increased drinking strength of 48.2% vol. The Single Malt reveals its complex side: Lush red fruits and delicate chocolate blend with sherry notes, caramel, and a hint of ham.

- Nose: robust aromas of red fruits and berries, paired with delicate aromas of dark chocolate - the sherry is clearly evident above all
- Palte: mouth-filling and soft in the taste, the lush notes of red fruits are present again, the chocolate and sherry are also there again - accompanied by light hints of ham
- Finish: long and soft in the finish - fruits and chocolate remain, the ham is now more evident - light tones of old leather in the background
