The Portuguese Collection from Tomatin comprises three bottlings that impressively demonstrate how differently Portuguese wine casks shape the character of a single malt Scotch whisky. Distilled on September 8, 2006, the spirit was initially aged for 8 years in traditional oak Casks before being transferred to three different casks on April 23, 2015: Tawny Port, Moscatel de Setúbal, and Madeira wine.
After a further 7 years of maturation, three exceptional whiskies were created, combining the versatility and elegance of Portuguese wines in a unique tasting experience.

Portuguese Collection - Port Casks

The initial aroma is reminiscent of Black Forest gateau, with warm spices that develop into fresh summer fruits.
The taste is intense with wild berries, blackberries, raspberries, and cherries, but the sweeter notes of peach and apricot return on the finish.
