After distillation in 2006, this single malt whisky was first matured in traditional ex-bourbon casks, then it received an eight-year finish in ex-Pedro Ximénez sherry butts.
On the nose, aromas of sticky toffee pudding and espresso entice. The palate reveals nuances of lemon curd, golden syrup, dates, dried figs, and muscovado sugar. The long, warming finish is accompanied by notes of rum raisins and dark chocolate.
