The tenth bottling in the Local Barley series from the renowned Springbank distillery in Campbeltown on the Kintyre Peninsula.
For this bottling, only Bere barley from the High Ranachan Farm on Kintyre was used.

Tasting Notes: This is how Springbank 8 year old Local Barley tastes like

  • Nose: aromas of ground black pepper, with the scent of an open cigar box and fresh sage
  • Palate: very balanced with notes of fresh shortbread and salted caramel, followed by herbal tones, especially basil
  • Finish: long and sweet finish - hints of soft toffee clearly emerge
