This results in completely new flavors that are not captured by the Harz brands The Alrik, Emperor's Way, or Willowburn. The basis for these rare Hercynian malts: A mashbill of smoked malt – smoked over both peat and wood – and unsmoked malt. The Heartgow Easter Eggs was distilled from regional barley and matured exclusively in first-fill casks, pre-filled with Pedro Ximénez sherry, port, and bourbon. Anyone who finds one of the 300 bottles in the Easter basket can look forward to a full-bodied experience that will steal the show from any chocolate bunny. Notes of caramel, apricot, raisins, and biscuits are offset by oak spice, red berries, panna cotta, and delicate wood and peat smoke.
