Triple distilled in a pot still, this single malt, distilled predominantly from barley malt, is impressive.
Maturation takes place in former Oloroso sherry casks made of French oak.
Tasting Notes: This is how the Sexton 11 year old tastes like
- Nose: at the beginning, wonderful roasted aromas of nuts, paired with the scent of sweet spices and dried fruits - above all, light hints of vanilla and caramelized sugar
- Palate: mouth-filling and soft in taste - now becoming fruitier with pronounced notes of ripe plums and juicy raisins, behind which tart chocolate and again the spicy tones
- Finish: long finish with hints of soft honey and spicy oak
