The Killowen Distillery is one of the smallest distilleries in (Northern) Ireland. Its distiller, Brendan Carty, has discovered his passion for reviving forgotten local distilling styles. The Killowen Distillery operates with two handcrafted stills, whose flames are fed by worm tub condensers. The Killowen Peated Irish Single Malt Whiskey Rum & Raisin is distilled in small batches and then matured in oak barrels. It then receives its refined finish in former Pedro Ximénez sherry butts and Killowen's own dark rum casks. A perfect combination to recreate the taste of the Caribbean.

- Nose: Initially, a slightly sweet smoky aroma with a hint of fresh apple juice, along with molasses and a generous portion of fruitcake.
- Palate: Juicy with distinct notes of sweet, green apples with brown sugar, along with a selection of dried fruits such as raisins, sultanas, and figs - all over with a beautifully balanced smoky note and hints of dark rum.
- Finish: The finish is long-lasting with notes of caramelized demerara sugar and candied apples, again with that gentle smoky note reminiscent of the Irish countryside.
