Edradour and its smoky branch Ballechin belong to the ranks of many people's favorite distilleries Scotch fans. Because: Produce whisky in its most original form - that's what made the distillery, located in the Highlands east of Pitlochry, a legend among whisky enthusiasts.
As one of the few distilleries in the country, Edradour produced its single malt exclusively in the old farm buildings until 2018. Some of them have devices that have more than 100 years on the clock and are rarely used in whisky production anymore. This hasn't changed even after the completed expansion with Edradour II. Under the Ballechin brand, the small distillery bottles its most peaty single malts, distilled from malt with at least 50 ppm smoke content.
Now connoisseurs can with preferences for sherry casks enjoy Edradour in its original form: The new batch of Edradour 2012/2024 - 12 year old. Brings a proud 59%vol. - after twelve years in six first and second filled Oloroso Sherry Butts. Unadulteratedly deep in color and with deep aromas, this is the warming dram of cool winter evenings.
