Portrait: What makes the Redbreast Nosing glass "The Glencairn Glass" special.

Back in the 1970s Years ago, Raymond Davidson, managing director of Glencairn Crystal, Ltd. designed the glass in Scotland.
But it wasn't until 2001 that his sons started producing the glass.
The Glencairn glass is the first glass specifically for whiskey made by has been recognized by the Scotch Whisky Association

The glass has the typical tulip shape of a nosing glass.
The bulbous body at the bottom makes it easy to warm the whiskey with the palm of your hand.
The tapered opening of the glasses prevents the rising aromas from flowing out of the glasses.
The massive base offers a secure stand and is far less prone to breakage than the long, thin stem of a Tulip glass.

The Redbreast logo is shown on the front.
