Vintage whiskies from a closed distillery, single malts from rare individual Casks - for his Andrew Symington tracks down outstanding Scotch whiskies. In 1988, Andrew Symington founded the Signatory Vintage Scotch Whisky Company Ltd. and since then has been bottling exclusive Casks from a wide range of Scottish distilleries from Pitlochry in the Highlands. His limited enjoyment experiences from single or a few Casks come onto the market in series - like “The Decanter Collection”.

Presented in the attractive Ibisco decanter after 11 years in first-fill Oloroso Sherry Butts the inviting Bunnahabhain Staoisha 2013/2024 from the smoky branch of the Islay distillery.

Tasting Notes: This is how the Bunnahabhain (Staoisha) 11 year old 2013/2024 1st-fill Oloroso Sherry Butts The Decanter Collection tastes like

  • Nose: lively with a slight fruit sweetness , pleasant peat smoke, some tar as well as hay and fresh herbs
  • Palate: malty-fruity sweetness with tingling hints of white pepper - again the intense peat smoke as well as maritime-salty notes of seaweed
  • Finish: strong smoke, seaweed and spice linger with pleasure for a long time
