The Scottish Highland distillery Ben Nevis is located at the foot of Scotland's highest mountain of the same name.
The strong, spicy single malts have now become a rarity, bottlings from Ben Nevis are rarely found.
Signatory selected exOloroso Sherry butts for this bottling.
Distilled in 2014, bottled in 2024.
As always at Signatory, bottled without the addition of coloring!

Vintage whiskies from a closed distillery, single malts from rare individual barrels - Signatory Vintage tracks down exclusive Scotch whiskeys for its bottlings. 
More than 10,000 hogsheads, butts and co. are stored in the halls of the independent bottler.

Tasting Notes: This is how the Ben Nevis 9 year old 2014/2024 2nd-fill Oloroso Sherry Butts The Decanter Collection tastes like

  • Nose: clear Vanilla and nutmeg, plus a slight smoky note
  • Palate: now spicy notes with lots of herbs, plus vanilla again - overlaid by soft smoke
