As perhaps Scotland's best-known independent bottler, Gordon & MacPhail has had one goal for more than 125 years: to produce single malt Scotch whisky of exceptional quality. In doing so, the family business acquired some privileges. For example: the bottling of the wonderfully complex distillates from the Macallan Distillery - under the name of the distillery.
 
The Speymalt from Macallan Distillery 1998/2024 matured extensively in Sherry Cask No. 21603912. In the Andalusian barrel, the rarity developed a lush profile in which vanilla and delicate toffee aromas transition to dried figs and sultanas. Notes of raspberry, Seville orange and anise follow before the single malt slowly fades out with oak tones .

  • Nose: vanilla beans with light aromas of soft toffee, dried figs and sultanas

  • Finish: long, balanced finish - the fruits are present, then fade into the background and make room for spicy oak tones
