Producing whisky in its most original form - that's what Edradour became a legend among Scotch fans years ago. As one of the few distilleries in Scotland, until 2018 it produced its single malt exclusively in the old farm buildings, sometimes using equipment that was more than 100 years old. And these are rarely used in whisky making anymore. The latter has not changed even after the completed expansion to include Edradour II.

“Scotland’s Little Gem” once again joined forces with afamily-run winery from Germany. The highly limited Single Cask is the result of two experts in their field.
 
The Edradour 12 year old Spätburgunder Barrique #3 Finish was treated to a treat after ten years Bourbon Cask finishes in French oak barriques pre-filled with Spätburgunder. Despite its strong cask strength of 53.9%vol. pleasantly light single malt combines notes of sweet raspberry and creamy vanilla.

• Nose: intense, sweet aromas of ripe raspberries, dark berries and creamy vanilla pudding - a light one in the background Spice
• Palate: mouth-filling and very harmonious in taste - at the beginning there are again the fruits, especially raspberries and red currants, followed by slight hints of vanilla cream and fresh herbs
• Finish: long and intense in the finish - hints of crème brulée, red berries and slightly spicy tones
