Portrait: What makes the Caol Ila 2015 100 Proof Edition #26 Signatory Vintage special.

The 100 Proof Edition has been closing a gap in the Signatory range since the beginning of 2024. 57.1%vol. or 100 proofis the minimum level at which gunpowder soaked in alcohol can be ignited. Since the beginning of 2024, Signatory Vintage has been dedicating its own series to the historical unit of measurement, in which high-proof quality whisky meets low prices.
The short form of the Signatory Vintage 100 Proof Edition? Independently bottled quality whiskies of appropriate age that combine high volume percentages with a low price. The series will demonstrate its advantageous properties with three new products in November 2024.

The maritime-fruity Caol Ila 2015/2024 meets the taste of smoke fans!

Tasting Notes: This is how the Caol Ila 2015 100 Proof Edition #26 Signatory Vintage tastes like

  • Nose: ripe berries and dark pome fruit, plus slightly nutty aromas - saltier over everything Peat smoke
  • Palate: becoming spicier in the taste, clear oak and gentle peat notes - followed by jam and olives 
  • Finish: long Finish with lots of malt, moist earth and peat
