Portrait: What makes the Kilchoman Sanaig Cask Strength 2024 Edition special

The limited Kilchoman Sanaig Cask Strength 2024 Edition, like the classic Sanaig, matured primarily in Oloroso sherry casks, but was aged in its natural cask strength of 57.8%vol. bottled. 
The result is an intense combination of rich peat smoke, cinnamon sweetness and stone fruit with notes of citrus, mixed spices and dark chocolate.

Tasting Notes: This is what the Kilchoman Sanaig Cask Strength 2024 Edition tastes like

  • Nose: at the beginning a strong, soft sweetness Toffee, then aromas of dark fruits and red berries follow - above all the smoke of burning oak wood

  • Palate: an intense sweetness with spicy dark chocolate with raisins, then hints of licorice and a lot warm, strong peat smoke

  • Finish: in the finish there is a pleasant sweetness paired with spicy tones - above all again the peat smoke
