The rarer, smoky variant from the Tobermory Distillery on the Isle of Mull is the original bottling under the Known by the name Ledaig.
Hunter Laing bottles this version under the name of the distillery with the addition “Peated”.

The Tobermory (Peated) 2007 Refill Sherry Butt pampers with aromas of fruit and smoke and warm spice. The finish is long with lingering sweetness and a smoky finish.

Distilled in June 2007, the malt matured for 16 years exclusively in a refill sherry butt. Bottled in March 2024 and limited to 742 bottles worldwide, the Tobermory (Peated) 2007 Refill Sherry Butt is an exceptional single cask bottling.

The family business Hunter Laing has made a name for itself, alongside the opening of the Ardnahoe Distillery on the island of Islay, particularly in the single barrel bottling segment. With the series “Old Malt Cask” and “Old & Rare” is one of Hunter Laing’s most well-known and renowned single cask bottlers in Scotland. 
Each cask bottling represents the unmistakable characteristics of the whisky region, which is characterized by the spring water, wood or the special atmosphere of the warehouses. The Old Malt Cask series is preferably made with 50.0% vol. bottled. The collection is always natural and does not contain any dyes or chill filtration - this guarantees the quality of each individual bottling.
