Portrait: Big Peat 15th Anniversary Edition

On the occasion of the 15. On the anniversary of the popular Islay Blended Malt Whisky, Douglas Laing is releasing this unique special edition. With an alcohol content of 50%vol. Bottled, the limited Big Peat 15th Anniversary Edition matured mainly in hand-picked red wine barrels, which give the smoky Islay Blended Malt Scotch Whiskey its unique touch.

Thanks Due to the special barrel maturation, Big Peat fans can look forward to a warm smoke aroma with earthy notes, surrounded by wild berries and vanilla. On the palate you can find toffee, dark chocolate and some nuts, followed by a long, full-bodied finish with lots of peat smoke and a certain spice.

This edition replaces the Christmas Edition in 2024 and brings a breath of fresh air the peaty whiskey world!

We've got all the Christmas fans covered - we still have bottles of last year's edition from the sherry cask at a special price. 

Tasting Notes: This is what the Big Peat 15th Anniversary Edition tastes like

  • Nose: warm, earthy smoke aromas start in the nose, followed by juicy ones Wild berries and vanilla
  • Palate: fruity notes predominate on the palate in combination with soft toffee, dark chocolate and notes of roasted nuts
  • Finish: the finish is long-lasting with lots of dry peat smoke
