Portrait: What makes the Nc 'Nean Cask Strength - Batch CS/GD06 special

In addition to the well-being of the planet, Nc'nean follows another path: innovative taste experiences. Inspired by its namesake, the Gaelic goddess Neachneohain, known as the huntress, Scotland's leading organic distillery hunts exceptional flavors.
 
With its cask-strong standard, the sustainable distillery Nc'nean set the standard at the end of 2023 a new milestone. The Nc'Nean Cask Strength matures in the same cask combination as the Nc'Nean Single Malt, but is made from the 55% STR Red Wine, 43% Bourbon and 2% Oloroso Sherry. Casks bottled undiluted.
 
The effect? The typical Nc'Nean notes of sweet lemon cream, bright ripe fruits such as peaches and apricots as well as rye bread with herbal spices develop in a pronounced form at crisp 59.6%vol. Cask Strength.

Tasting Notes: This is how the Nc'Nean Cask Strength - Batch CS/GD06 tastes like

  • Nose: fresh aromas of ripe citrus fruits and peaches, followed by slightly spicy hints
  • Palate: complex notes of ripe fruits such as apricots and peaches - the spicy notes come through now more prominent
  • Finish: medium long with a harmoniously soft finish with strong tones of fruits and spices
