This 15-year-old Speyside malt is based on what is known from Sherry production Solera process is initially stored in three different types of barrels before they are all blended together in a solera barrel.
Only half of this solera Cask is bottled, the other half remains in the Cask and is used again with a new batch filled up.
Tasting Notes: This is what the Glenfiddich 15 year old tastes like
- Nose: spicy aromas, honey and ripe fruits, some cloves
- Palate: full body, very fruity, vanilla notes and spices again, very soft
- Finish: long finish, the vanilla and some oak come back
