The 108.2pm strong peat and distilled from 100% Scottish barley The Octomore Edition 15.1 is as youthful and dynamic as his Predecessor. 
The maturation of the 15.1 (the .1 is always the backbone of every series) took place in a combination of first-fill exBourbon and recharred exBourbon Casks with the aim of extracting the maximum of aromas and character from the wood extract.
A real Octomore - expressive and strong in character with an intense aroma palette that ranges from vanilla-sweet to intensely smoky.

Tasting Notes: This is how The Octomore Edition 15.1 tastes like

• Nose: intense aromas of soft caramel and fresh vanilla sauce, plus sweet barley malt - above all fat peat smoke
• Palate: full and complex in taste with strong notes of tropical fruits - especially mango and banana, followed by sweet apricot jam with vanilla sauce and soft toffee - carried by smoke and moist earth
• Finish : Octomore-typical earthy peat smoke, paired with vanilla and sweet-smoky wood notes - slightly mineral-maritime in the long finish
