From the more than 10,000 Hogsheads, Butts and Co. warehouses in his Signatory Vintage Scotch Whisky Company Ltd. Two promising single Casks have now been selected for the summer of 2024, where fruit lovers as well as fans of classically matured single malts will get their money's worth.

Andrew Symington has been producing Signatory since 1988 Vintage, discerning connoisseurs have access to drams that are usually hidden from them. These include single malts from rare individual Casks or distilleries that primarily produce whisky for the blend industry - like Blair Athol.
 
The Blair Athol 9 year old 2014/2024 1st-fill Oloroso Sherry Butt #9 comes from the neighborhood of Signatory Vintage in the Highland town of Pitlochry. The voluminous single malt spent its nine years entirely in a first-fill Oloroso Sherry Butt and is prepared for cherry customers with 658 bottles.

• Nose: sweet scent of ripe autumn fruits, behind it crushed brown sugar - scent of freshly baked, with red fruits, dark stone fruits and a warming spice

• Palate: soft and creamy in taste with a fine spice, then sweet and syrupy with intense notes of soft red fruits - lots of cocoa

• Finish: elegant and smooth in the finish, very delicate with an interesting oak note and sweet spices such as nutmeg and cinnamon
