For Elements of Islay, the independent bottler Elixir Distillers selects whiskeys from various active and partly inactive Islay distilleries. The bottlers compose their delicious elementary particles from Casks of different ages and sometimes from different distilleries. The goal: to represent the full range of insular malt whiskies with their medicinal, peaty and maritime character.
The Fireside - Limited Release 2024 Elements of Islay is a blended malt from two distilleries on the north coast of Islay, which matured in heavily charred hogsheads, Oloroso Sherry Hogsheads made from American oak and Oloroso Sherry Butts made from European oak. Itsbold profile of fireside smoke with rich red fruits and candied orangesis inspired by the cozy idea of enjoying a smoky dram by the fire with friends after being caught in a rain shower on Islay.

- Nose: dusty coal smoke and sweetness Woody aromas - then strong aromas of juicy red fruits follow
- Palate: mouth-filling and complex - again the strong smoke, behind it candied orange peel and again the red fruits
