The latest creation from the award-winning whisky company Master's Dr. Bill Lumdsen, the Glenmorangie Triple Cask Reserve, matured for the first time in a triptych of casks, more specifically in bourbon, new charred oak and rye casks.
The result is a fresh Single Malt Whisky with aromas of honeysuckle, pear and candied orange peel. A hint of gentle spice and oak notes in an opulent but sweet finish.
Tasting Notes: This is how the Glenmorangie Triple Cask Reserve tastes like
- Nose: rich and tropical, with a mix of aromas of ripe pears, vanilla, candied orange peel, honeysuckle and pear candy - followed by gentle aromas of cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg with further sweetness of maple syrup and crème brûlée a little water, creamy vanilla, white chocolate, pears, melon and mild oak aromas quickly develop
- Palate: creamy, almost viscous, with clear notes of crème brûlée, cherry chocolate, soft toffee and orange sorbet, followed by spicier hints of cloves, sweet chili and ripe tropical fruits
- Finish: the finish is a delicious mix of strong, sweet and spicy tones
