The Dos Maderas Atlantic is a blended rum made from selected rum qualities from Barbados and Guyana. It matures for six years, including one year in the second maturation process in Pedro Ximenez sherry casks from Jerez, Spain.
Tasting Notes: This is how the Dos Maderas Atlantic tastes like
- Nose: initially aromas of fresh pastries, plus spicy oak and spices - then clearly vanilla, honey, caramel and roasted nuts
- Palate: elegant, silky and soft on the palate - again the spicy oak and spices - now more clearly fresh vanilla beans, soft honey and caramel - in the background the roasted nuts again
- Finish: long and soft in the finish - clearly raisins and the influence of the Pedro Ximenez sherry casks
