In the Laphroaig 18 year old, the vanilla note that is becomes noticeable after 10 years, intensified and complemented by the sweetness of ripe fruits, ginger and honey, as well as a touch of fresh mint leaves and woody, roasted aromas.

- Nose: initially sweet with aromas of vanilla and soft toffee, behind it gooseberries, cooking apples and a hint of cinnamon on freshly baked apple pie
