The Dingle Distillery celebrates the Celtic heritage of its home peninsula with thisspecial edition from the “Wheel of the Year ” series. Based on the Celtic Wheel of the Year, the series will ultimately consist of eight limited bottlings (and a bonus dram).
 
With the Grianstad an tSamhraidh the seventh experience goes to the Start - to celebrate the summer solstice. As the last big festival before daylight begins to fade, it is celebrated enthusiastically. Dingle created the ideal dram for long summer evenings by maturing the single pot still whiskey in first fill bourbon casks and long finishing in rye casks.
 
So Grianstad an tSamhraidh expresses freshly cut hay, lemon sorbet, creamy toffee and freshly ground pepper on the nose. The palate features herbal spices, roasted vanilla, honey, spiced pecans and lemon drops. The aftertaste is spicy, with a hint of licorice and pepper.
