The Wolfburn No. 177 Small Batch Release combines the gentle sophistication of Bourbon maturation with the unique sweetness and depth of maturation in Rum Barrels.
For this bottling, first-fill Bourbon Hogsheads, in which the Wolfburn Single Malt matured for 8 years, and first-fill Caribbean Rum Barrels, which were the home of Wolfburn Single Malt for 7 years were choosen.

The selected Casks were married together and bottled in September 2023 for a total of 4,900 bottles.

Tasting Notes: This is what the Wolfburn No. 177 Small Batch Release tastes like

• Nose: Aromas of roasted figs and plums paired with candied ginger, followed by strong aromas of fresh plum jam and toffee, plus marzipan and sultanas
• Palate: The influence of the rum casks is clearly visible with notes of molasses and sweet tropical fruits, accompanied by some honey and soft oak tannins
• Finish: mouth-filling on the finish, almost sticky with delicate, lush fruity hints
