Portrait: What makes the Enso in a wooden box special

That is Enso Japanese word for circle and is considered one of the highest symbols in Zen. It says that an Enso shows the spirit and character of the painter, drawing the symbol is said to bring strength and enlightenment.
All the more difficult because An Enso is painted or drawn with just a single brush stroke, it is not possible to touch it up later.
This is intended to emphasize that every moment is extraordinary, unique and perfect in its own way - and that was exactly it Inspiration for this blended Whisky from Kiyokawa, Japan, in Kanagawa Prefecture - located between Tokyo in the east and Mount Tanzawa in the west.

The ones for this Blended Whisky Pot still whiskies used come from various distilleries in Japan, where exactly remains a secret.
Only this much can be revealed, all whiskeys mature in American oak Casks, the blending takes place in Kiyokawa

Tasting Notes: This is how the Enso tastes like

  • Nose: soft vanilla aromas with caramel and toffee, followed by aromas of tropical fruits - becoming more floral in the background
  • Palate: soft and mouth-filling in taste - again the fresh vanilla pods and the soft caramel, plus butterscotch and light grain notes - above all a slight fruitiness
  • Finish: mild and balanced in the finish - vanilla and fruits remain present
