Mac Talla Flavorscapes is a new series of limited edition bottlingsin which Mac-Talla collaborates with artists to create stunning images showcasing the different flavor profiles of each individual whisky.
For the German exclusive bottling Mac-Talla Flavorsacapes Series: Cluain, the artist Marzia Sileno created a unique work of art; she transports the aromas and taste into the visual and thus creates unique images. During her visit to the Mac Talla team, it was very interesting to hear why she chose the colors and shapes that adorn each bottle after a sip of the new Flavorscapes bottling.
For Cluain (Gaelic for meadow or pasture)three First Fill Bourbon Hogsheads were married together. The result is a lively and smoky whiskey with notes of fresh smoke, sweet vanilla and floral scent bottled at a powerful 52.3%vol. and limited to 1,180 bottles only for Germany.
Tasting Notes: This is how the Mac-Talla Flavorscapes Series: Cluain tastes like
- Nose: fresh smoke, vanilla and floral aromas like a walk on a spring meadow
- Palate: juicy apples and fully ripe pears with a hint of tart citrus notes accompanied by warm smoke
- Finish: long in the finish - now noticeably more warm smoke, the tart fruit notes are present - behind that again the juicy fruit and vanilla
