The name Ron Contrabando is intended to be reminiscent of the rums that were illegally smuggled by pirates on the high seas in the past. 
The Ron Contrabando 15 Black Rum Sistema Solera from the Dominican Republic is a terrific Gran Reserva Rum that 15 long years in the Solera system in American white oak Casks with high degrees of toasting and subsequently in Lustau Casks in which Pedro Ximénez -Sherry was stored and refined.
The high degrees of roasting of the American barrels give it its intense, dark color, characteristic of the first rums that the expeditions across the Caribbean at that time made accompanied by the sea. Ron Contrabando 15 Black Rum Sistema Solera combines the best of Dominican rums with the elegance of the unique nuances of Spanish Lustau Casks.

  • Nose: strong aromas of vanilla, crème brûlée and chocolate
