The first legal whisky distillery on the Hebridean island of Raasay is embarking on a powerful new chapter on: With the Isle of Raasay Cask Strength Release 2024, the coastal distillery presents its strongest single malt to date.

The classic Isle of Raasay was used for thelimited special bottling Single malt bottled with a cask strength of 61.3%vol. It was made according to the island distillers' innovative cask recipe from peated and unpeated raw spirits, which mature separately on Raasay's coast in three cask types: First Fill Rye Whiskey Casks, Virgin Chinkapin Oak Casks and First Fill Bordeaux Red Wine Casks.

The result? A maximum of taste in which delicate, aromatic smoke meets lush fruit notes of cherry, apricot and black currant. Candied ginger, black pepper and cinnamon, vanilla, butterscotch, sandalwood and a touch of salt round off the complex experience

Tasting Notes: This is how the Isle of Raasay Cask Strength Release 2024 tastes like

• Nose: distinctly soft aromatic smoke, followed by intense fruity aromas of ripe cherries, apricots and blackcurrants
• Palate: mouth-filling with notes of candied ginger, cinnamon and black pepper - some vanilla in the background
• Finish: complex and long in the finish - now the vanilla is more noticeable, with butterscotch, Sandalwood and some sea salt
