Portrait: What makes the Glenburgie 2008 Exceptional Cask 100 Proof Edition #2 Signatory Vintage special

In the Signatory 100 Proof Edition it is no longer just high percentages that meet low prices. With the Exceptional Casks there are now also affordable bottlings that have matured for a long time. Three price-performance bottlings from first-filled Oloroso Sherry Butts will be launched in May 2024.

In addition to fruity notes, hints of herbs can also be found in the oily Speyside Single Malts from Glenburgie. The full maturation in Oloroso Casks also provides the Glenburgie 2008 with candied fruits and maple syrup.

Tasting Notes: This is what the Glenburgie 2008 Exceptional Cask 100 Proof Edition #2 Signatory Vintage tastes like

  • Nose: fresh and malty, combined with brown sugar, candied fruits and delicate butterscotch
  • Palate: sweet sherry and dark, melted chocolate - light notes of candied fruit and maple syrup
  • Finish: long finish - clearly red, ripe berries, maple syrup again
