The independent bottler takes us to the south coast of the island of Islay, which is probably the most popular among whiskey fans. The Williamson 2013/2024 is an Islay single malt. It was named after the former owner of its original distillery, Elizabeth Leitch “Bessie” Williamson, secretary of the last and childless descendant of the founding Johnston family. Refined in the Oloroso Sherry Cask, it combines sea spray with raisins and medicinal peat smoke with orange peel.
