La Réunion is a sugar cane paradise. Located on the shores of the Indian Ocean, the Savanna distillery has been producing rare, authentic rum by hand since 1870. Unusually for the French overseas departments, the distillery processes both fresh sugar cane juice and molasses /strong>. Free of any additives and not cold-filtered, Savanna Rums reveal multifaceted, authentic aromas that testify to the wild beauty of the island.
The Savanna L'Absolu 2023 draws on the oldest Savanna stocks. The limited bottling embodies the distillery's extensive know-how in blending rare rums - and brings out the absolute best in them. The result is lush, complex and distinctly fruity: candied fruits and berries meet nuts, the influence of Port Wine and Grand Arôme as well as pleasantly woody vanilla.
