Portrait: What makes the Kilchoman Loch Gorm 2024 special

Named after the famous dark, peaty lake that runs from the distillery Loch Gorm's annual limited edition is the only regular edition matured entirely in Oloroso sherry Butts.
For Kilchoman Loch Gorm 2024 Oloroso Sherry Cask, Anthony Wills and Robin Bignal selected a total of 23 casks.

17 of them are First -Fill and 6 refill casks - the youngest cask is just under 10 years old.

The Oloroso sherry casks come from the renowned Spanish bodega José y Miguel Martín, from which Glenfarclas also produces its famous sherry casks refers.
Kilchoman's founder Anthony Wills personally selected a combination of 17 first fill and 6 refill casks from three different distillation years.
The with sherry Embossed oak adds layers of rich fruit character that pair perfectly with the classic Kilchoman peat smoke and citrus flavors.

Tasting Notes: This is what the Kilchoman Loch Gorm 2024 tastes like

• Nose: Waves of sweet BBQ smoke and preserved fruits, behind them dark chocolate and dried figs
• Palate: delicate peat smoke in combination with roasted, honey-coated nuts , some cinnamon and malted barley
• Finish: long and well balanced in the finish with fresh tones of ripe citrus fruits - followed by a strong toffee note
